OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
1)To study the demand of Dunlop India Limited in various consumer.
2) To study the consumer attitude towards purchase of Dunlop tyres with influence of brand image.
3) To study the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of consumer about Dunlop product.
4) To find out the general market conditions and tendencies .
5) To study the companies’ reputation among benefited customers.
6) To assess the strength and weakness of Dunlop Products.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Primary Data: All the concerned primary data collected through questionnaire survey and direct interviewing the consumer& dealers.
Secondary Data: Related Secondary data was adopted by literature, different types of journal, magazine, internet etc.
Sample Unit: The study was conducted on different types of transport owner & dealer etc.
Sampling Procedure: Questionnaire was distributed to various consumers &dealers
Geographical Area of Study: Concerned interview and survey taken from Shalimer (Howrah), B.T Road (Kolkata).
Tools of Data Collection: All attached data collected using by interview schedule and weekly journal etc.
DATA INTERPRETATION
After the completion of data collection sample units are transcribed and tables were prepared. This involves the following steps:
1) Editing and checking the filled up questionnaire:- A large number of samples have been randomly collected and because of improper and incomplete data some questionnaire were rejected and finally the corrected samples have been considered for the purpose of analysis
2) Tabulation of data and preparations of the tables.
3) Analysis and interpretation was done.
● The Transport Company do not compromise with the quality.
● Mainly the tyre dealings depend on the credit .
● Some time the consumers want low price product (Tata company make two brand of watches-Titan and Timex)
• The companies provided many interesting offers to the dealers
● The consumer and dealer both perception are same.
● Mainly dealers are influence the consumer to purchases their preferable brands.
● The company need to give benefit to the dealers .
● Try to maintain the good relation with the dealers and understand their requirements.
FINDINGS
) It is said that only 80% people are aware of DUNLOP brand in sample
size of 50 .
2)The claim policy is also appreciated from both the party i.e. dealer and
customer.
3) Many other company sales their product in cheap rate.
4) Most of the consumers think that if the price is high then the product is of good quality
5) Dunlop past goodwill was good but the company did not maintain the goodwill
6) Dunlop company many time changes their ownership .
7)Dunlop company focus on their promotion or advertising (Dunlop area in the past there was a advertisement on the rail bridge )
RECOMMENDATIONS
1)The consumers don’t compromise with the quality.
2) After sales service of the company is very much important for the organization as well as for the customers .
3)Now advertising is a form of communication that typically attempts to persuade potential customers to purchase .
4)Give some interesting and attractive offers to the dealers.
5)Maintain the production of the company.
6)Follow top three brands and competitors .
