LSL’s business is where two of today’s fastest growing industries converge – Plastics and Packaging. LSL is India’s best and possibly world’s largest manufacturer of Tape Extrusion Lines, Winders and Circular Looms.
LOHIA STARLINGER LIMITED (LSL) incorporated in 1981, is the flagship company of the Lohia group and has state of art manufacturing facilities at Kanpur – Panki & Chaubepur. LSL manufactures complete range of machines for Woven Fabric Industry for LDPE and PPE sacks and fabrics.

LSL’s annual turnover is approximately Rs.359 crores (as on 31.03.09) with 1500 plus strong qualified manpower involved in production and other activities. The group operates both in international and domestic market, with a substantial proportion (more than 50% of the total turnover) is coming from the Export Market. The Company is recognized by Ministry of Commerce as STAR EXPORT HOUSE since 2000-01. The Company is also recognized by Engineering Export Promotion Council, New Delhi consecutively for 3 years by awarding “CERTIFICATE OF EXPORT EXCELLENCE”.
LSL is exporting to over 60 countries primarily erstwhile CIS, Turkey, Greece, Far East, South America, East Africa etc. LSL is an ISO 9001 company.

The latest series of LOHIA Starlinger Limited Circular Weaving Machines have been developed with electronic control system to make available high performance machines producing woven fabric with minimum defects (which may be considered as zero defect fabric).
Step by step working on the conveyor
LSL-6 model of this new generation machine with electronic control system is the result of decades of experience and continuous development. They represent the latest in modern circular weaving technology offering a high degree of precision, flexibility and economic viability. Following features of the machines make them world class in the field of circular weaving machine technology.
• Sufficient space around the machine for comfortable operation and maintenance.
• High quality fabric is produced from the machine with the help of warp and weft break/exhaust system.
• Actual machine performance can be evaluated by the machine controller system for effective supervision.
• Periodic cramming can be achieved (if required) at desired pre-set length for various applications.
• Optimum production can be achieved with the help of variable frequency drive used for steplessly controlling the speed of the machine.
• Lower energy consumption at higher working speed ensures return on investment in short duration.
• Robust design of machine components with superior quality material ensures longer working life with trouble free operation.
• Reduced floor area of the machine results into real value for money.
• Less maintenance cost.
Other features:
 Warp yarns are fed with uniform warp tension from creel stands thus weaving at lower warp tension.
 Polyethylene and polypropylene tapes either on their own or in blends with polyolefins are the main raw material used.
 Magnetic sensors and photo-sensor systems are used for producing quality fabric.
 Machine controller system is used for setting various machine parameters as well as for indication of useful production data.
 Detailed information for shift wise as well as cumulative production, actual running time with warp and weft breakage incidents can be obtained by the machine evaluation system.
 Optimum production can be achieved with the help of variable frequency drive to make the machine more efficient.
