The Gearless transmission or the El-bow mechanism is a device to transmit movements at any fixed angle between the transmission and the driven shaft. The synthesis of this mechanism would reveal that it consists of a number of pins that would be between 3 and 8, the more the pins, the smoother the operation. These pins slide into hollow cylinders forming a sliding pair.
