Home automation is becoming popular because of its many benefits. Domotics refers to the control of household appliances and domestic features through local networks or through remote control. Artificial Intelligence provides us with the framework for going real-time decision and internet automation of things (IoT). The paper deals with the discussion on the different systems of intelligent home automation and the technologies from a point of view of several characteristics. The work focuses on the concept of home automation where monitoring and control operations are facilitated through intelligent devices installed in residential buildings. Automation is a technique, method or system to operate or control a process by electronic devices with the reduction of human participation to a minimum. The foundation of building an automation system for an office or home is increasing day by day with numerous benefits. Industrial and researchers are working to build efficient and affordability automatic systems to monitor and control different machines like lights, fans, AC based on requirement. Automation makes not only an efficient but also economic use of electricity and water and reduces much of the waste.
