INTRODUCTION
• Nanotechnology is one of the most active areas of research, which is widely used in almost all areas.
• The most suitable materials as concrete in the construction industry, it must improve its quality.
• Improvement of properties of concrete by adding nanoparticles showed significant improvement compared to conventional concrete.
Why nanotechnology for concrete?
• Improves 3D svojstvathe material.
• Ability to control or manipulate materials at the atomic level. Nano-scale ATTACK on the ASR (alkali metal silicate reaction)
• To obtain a finer end products and quick setting time.
• Cost Effectiveness.
• Reduced levels of pollution.
What is nano-concrete?
• Concrete made with portlandcementnyh particles that are less than 500 nm cementing agent.
• Currently, cement particle size in the range of a few nanometers up to a maximum of up to 100 micro meters.

• Carbon nanotubes.

CARBON nanotubes
• Carbon nanotubes are molecular-scale carbon-graphite tubes with outstanding properties.

SCOPE
• If the Portland cement can be formulated with Nano-size particles of cement, it would open a lot of opportunities.
• Cement is not only more economical than organic polymers, but also fire resistant.
• A number of studies were conducted to develop the smart concrete with carbon fiber.
• This will become a reality with Nano cement, because the Nano-carbontubes are much more effective than carbon fibres. The thickness of the composite material can be reduced to Micron and therefore flexible and smart composite cement can be made.
