Life Asset Management of the ElectricalComponents in Medium-Voltage Networks
A general consideration of some representative electrical components is necessary for the assessment of the lifetime of the electrical apparatus. This is necessitated by the fact that the large amount of electrical apparatus and the costs of an individual diagnosis in medium-voltage network are high. The investigation must be focussed on the general ageing mechanisms of the individual electrical components.This article presents a new method for the assessment of the lifetime of the electrical components. the probabilistic failure model, the life model and the enlargement law is used by this method to predict the failure rate and the failure probability of the electrical components in medium-voltage networks for a time-period in the future.Here, the lifetime and reliability of the electrical components are connected by a relation. It also impacts the deregulation of the electrical energy market and also the decision making in the industry. The cable and transformer data are utilised to demonstrate the method and to show that the method is capable of assessing the lifetime and reliability of the electrical components and the output data are accurate and convenient.
