The Java library management system is designed to help simplify the task of managing a physical library (as opposed to software libraries), which consists of individual inventory items such as books, tapes, optical media, etc....
The library management system software allows the administrator to add or view or delete librarian. And the librarian can add or view books, publish books, view published books, and return previously published books.
The users of the system are the administrator and the librarian. The Library Management System administrator can add, view, or even delete librarian. The administrator can register the librarian and himself. The librarian can add to existing books or view available books, issue new books; A view has already been published books, keep in mind the books that have returned and also have the option to log out. Any IDE software can be used for project development. You can choose between software like Net beans, Eclipse, etc. To maintain the project database, MySQL is used. The project front-end tool is the JAVA Swing and the back-end of the project as we have just commented is the MySQL software.
The user interface remains as professional as possible with the minimalist approach. The opening window will have 2 sections: admin login and librarian login. After logging in to their respective sections, they can perform their specific tasks. You can run the project after you have imported the sql files so that the tables are created in MySQL. You can import the project into the eclipse IDE, and then run the project.
Existing system
In the existing library management system, the database is kept only in documents. And not only this, but the management of all library clients, adding and removing members, uodating details about members and all other kinds of things are done manually only. Therefore, maintaining the database is a very hectic task, if done manually and therefore requires a lot of time and effort to do so.
Proposed system
The proposed library management system is highly automated and therefore less effort is required to manage the library database using this software. The work will be more precise and the management will be easy task compared to the work done manually.
