I am pre final year student. I want to now about some new innovations in concrete technology for my paper presentation

In its simplest form, the concrete is a mixture of paste and aggregate (rocks). The paste, composed mainly of portland cement and water, covers the surface of the (larger) aggregates (small) fine and coarse. Through a series of chemical reactions called hydration, hardens it into paste and strength gains to form the Rocky-like mass known as the concrete.

In this process is the key to a remarkable feature of concrete: it is plastic and malleable when newly mixed, strong and durable when cured. These qualities explain why material, concrete, can build skyscrapers, bridges, sidewalks and highways, houses and dams.
