Hi am Mahalakshi, I would like to get notes on advanced adhoc networks. Also I need previous year question papers for the same.

An ad-hoc network is a local area network (LAN) that is built spontaneously as the devices are connected. Instead of relying on a base station to coordinate the flow of messages to each node in the network, the individual network nodes send packets to and from the others. In Latin, ad hoc means literally "for this", which means "for this special purpose" and also, by extension, improvised or improvised. An ad hoc network is a network that is made up of individual devices that communicate directly with each other. The term involves spontaneous or improvised construction because often these networks bypass the control hardware or the central access point such as a router. Many ad hoc networks are local area networks where computers or other devices are enabled to send data directly to each other instead of passing through a centralized access point.

The idea of an ad hoc network is often unfamiliar to end users who have only seen small residential or business networks that use a typical router to send wireless signals to individual computers. However, the ad hoc network is being used a bit in new types of wireless engineering, although until recently it was a rather esoteric idea. For example, an ad hoc mobile network involves mobile devices that communicate directly with each other. Another type of ad hoc network, the ad hoc vehicular network, is the placing of communication devices in cars. Both are examples of ad hoc networks that use a large collection of individual devices to communicate freely without a type of descending or hierarchical communication structure.

Experts point out that for small local area networks, ad hoc networks may be cheaper to build because they do not require as much hardware. However, others point out that a large number of devices can be difficult to handle without a larger, more concrete infrastructure. Technology leaders are looking for ways to enable more vibrant network functionality with these peer-to-peer networks.
