Established in 1979, Kalyani Thermal Systems Limited manufacturers customized furnaces for the forging and steel industry in collaboration with Flinn & Dreffein Engineering Co, U.S.A.
The company brought auto components into focus in the year 2001, which had a capacity of 600 MT per year and over the years the capacity has been ramped up to 24000 MT per year.
Products manufactured are small steel forgings from 50gms to 18kgs with value added machining operations for the automotive sector
Bharat Forge is the largest manufacturer of crankshafts in India and the second largest worldwide with an annual production of over 5,000,000 crankshaft forgings. It enjoys a leadership position in the domestic market.
We manufacture a wide variety of crankshafts ranging from single cylinder crankshafts for light duty applications to large 12 cylinder crankshafts for heavy duty applications like marine, power generation and heavy construction.
BFL has established a track record of supplying crankshafts to leading OEM’s all over the globe. We manufacture crankshafts ranging from 2-2500kgs in forged and machined category.

The different types of installations are batch and continuous process lines. These include box, bogie hearth, roller hearth, pusher and rotary hearth furnaces, running on oil/gas/ electricity.
The company brought auto components into focus in the year 2001, which had a capacity of 600 MT per year and over the years the capacity has been ramped up to 24000 MT per year.
Products manufactured include forged and machined components such as Connecting Rods, Crankshafts, Tube Yokes, UJ Crosses, Transmission Gear Box and steering components for the automotive sector viz. two-wheeler, passenger car and commercial vehicle segment
HISTORY
Kalyani Thermal Systems Ltd. (KTSL). (Formerly Pune Furnaces and Equipments Co. Pvt. Ltd) was established in 1979. KTSL was set up to help the steel, forging and metal working industries; to meet the challenges posed by energy crisis and spiraling energy costs. The objective was to put state -of -the-art technology to work for the benefit of our customers.
KTSL's involvement in the project begins from the very first stage when a client begins planning for a new industrial furnace installation. We then put our designing skills to optimal use to manufacture a product, best suited to the client's customized requirement.
On 22nd April, 1993, KTSL joined hands with Flinn and Dreffein Engineering Co., U.S.A. to become a part of world's industrial furnace manufacturing group. Through this venture we introduced advanced thermal technology in India.
Over the years the company has been catering to the auto component business. But the main focus of the company was ENGINEERING & FURNACE related. In the year 2001, the auto components business was brought into focus, and ever since the company has grown its auto component business from 600 tons per year to 24,000 tons per year.
The major landmarks are
• ISO 9001:2000 accreditation by UL, INDIA in 2001 and TS - 16949 accreditation by UL, INDIA in 2005 for Mundhwa Plant-TS Certificate Mundhwa
• Commissioning of the Ranjangaon forging and machining facility in 2007
• ISO 9001:2000 accreditation by UL, INDIA in 2001 and TS - 16949 accreditation by UL, INDIA in 2008 for Ranjangaon Plant-TS Certificate Ranjangaon
• Commissioning of the machining facility at Manesar - Haryana
• Formed a new company Hirschvogel Kalyani India Pvt Ltd, a Joint Venture with M/s Hirschvogel Unformtechnik - Germany for manufacture of Cold and Warm forgings.
• Qualified for the OHSAS / ISO14001 Environment certificate for the Auto components business-OHSAS/ISO14001 Environment certificate
