An Automatic Exam Hall Seating Arrangement is essential software to reduce the manual work where allocating hall for each student during examination is a complex job for exam cell in all colleges. Our system aims at reducing the human work by arranging the exam hall seats automatically and to obtain an optimized seating arrangement where two students appearing for the same subject are NOT NEIGHBORS.

Harmonic search algorithm and Graph coloring algorithm are used to implement the automatic hall allocation. The seat allocation for each hall is maintained in the Microsoft SQL database. Fragmentation in seat allocation is also avoided.

Thus the display of seating arrangement per hall consists of format including seat number and roll number per hall and overall display containing block number, hall number and corresponding student’s roll number in the format of summary, hall wise and department wise.To create a web application which would be helpful for all to obtain an automatic seating arrangement according to given rules.
