INVISIBILITY CLOAK
INTRODUCTION:
Optical-camouflage technology:
Using Augmented Reality Systems
LIGHT SURFACE REFLECTIVITY:-
Requirements of Augmented Reality Systems:-
A garment made from highly reflective material
A video camera
A computer
A projector
Combiner
COMPLETE SYSTEM:-
Projector
Cloak
Computer
Combiner
Video camera
THE CLOAK:-
The cloak that enables optical camouflage to work is made from a special material known as retro-reflective material
THE COMPUTER:
It performs two things:
• It takes the captured image from the video camera, calculate the appropriate perspective to simulate reality
• Transforms the captured image into the image that will be projected onto the retro-reflective material.
VIDEO CAMERA:-
REAL WORLD APPLICATIONS:-
• Pilots landing the plane.
• Doctors performing surgery
• Fanciful applications.
• Mutual telexistence.
INVISIBILITY CLOAK TELEXISTENCE:-
HEAD-MOUNTED DISPLAYS:-
Conclusion:
That's because our brains insist on viewing light as having traveled in a straight line. An invisibility cloak would simply replicate this process in a more sophisticated way.
