Aim of the Project
To investigate the effects on the alternators when subjected to various types of loads and to minimize obtained harmonics

Project Objectives
To determine various parameters under different loading conditions for:
• Laminated rotor alternator
• Solid rotor alternator
Parallel-connected alternators
To analyze the voltage regulations under these conditions
To analyze the harmonics obtained in case of non-linear loads and use suitable techniques to minimize these harmonics
Methods and Methodology
Use of experimental setup in the laboratory
Digitization of output and use of suitable techniques to minimize harmonics
Simulation of the experiment using Graphic User Interface in Matlab
