Plastic money is a term that is used predominantly in reference to hard plastic cards that we use every day instead of actual bank notes. They can come in many different forms such as cash cards, credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cash cards and store cards. Plastic Money Concept Plastic money or polymer money, made of plastic, is a new and easier way to pay for goods and services. Plastic money was introduced in the 1950s and is now an essential form of ready money that reduces the risk of handling a huge amount of cash. Includes credit cards, debit cards, ATMs, smart cards, etc. This allocation in plastic money is divided into two parts entitled Concept and Experiences. The first covers the emergence of plastic money, different types of plastic cards, its growth in India. Plastic money is the alternative to cash or standard money. Plastic money is used to refer to credit cards or debit cards that we use to make purchases in our everyday lives. Plastic money is much more convenient to carry around as you do not have to carry a huge amount of money with you. It is also much safer to carry along or to travel with it as if it was stolen you can consult the bank whose service you are using and blocked thereby saving your money from being stolen or even lost. Nowadays, even developing countries such as India are encouraging the use of these plastic money over cash due to these reasons. In addition, these credit and debit cards also have plastic used in their manufacture and that is where the name "plastic money" has originated.
