LPC2138 / 48 mini rhydolabz development board is an easy to handle, general purpose development board built around LPC2138 / 48 (microcontroller based on ARM7TDMI-S CPU) and related peripherals. The board is designed with a variety of hardware to exercise the microcontroller LPC2138 / 48 peripherals. Mini bread board is also provided for ease of use. Ideal for training and development.

Main Features:

• Compact design and easy to use
• LPC2148 MCU is integrated into the board
• No independent programmer required (built in Bootloader)
• Built-in 12 MHz crystal for controller
• Various input power options (USB, RMC connector, DC barrel connector) with jumper selection
• Reverse polarity protection of the supply voltage
• Regulators on board 5V and 3.3V
• 3.3 and 5 V output available on berg strip
• Power indicator LED (Red)
• Servo, LCD and ZigBee can be easily connected via on-board connectors
• ZigBee communication via UART0
• Provision of ZigBee connectors on both sides of the board
• LCD contrast control potentiometer
• On-board Buzzer
• 4 on-board switches including one reset switch and another 3 connected to port pins through jumpers
• 3 integrated SMD LEDs connected to the port pins through bridges
• Potentiometer connected to ADC via bridge

• Temperature sensor (MCP 9700) connected to the bridge ADC

• Built-in ICD connector for debugging

• All port plugs are accessible through male and female berg strips.

• UART0 communication possible via ZigBee, DB9 connector, USB connector and RMC
• UART0 on can be used at 3.3V and 5V levels (with bridge selection) via the RMC connector

• UART1 communication possible through a strip berg connector
• The internal USB of the LPC2148 is accessible via the built-in USB port

• The breadboard can be attached to the board
• 32.768 kHz crystal for internal RTC

• Battery holder for external battery used to power RTC
• Various programming options: USB, serial port

• Programmer switch to select 2 programming modes:
I. Auto - No Replacement, No ISP Bridge
Ii. Manual - Press the reset switch, use the ISP jumper
• The ISP bridge must be removed for code execution
• For UART0 communication, the programmer switch must be in manual mode
• Professional EMI / RFI complaint PCB layout design for noise reduction

• Single flash sequence or complete chip erasing in 400 ms and 256 bytes of programming in 1 ms.
• EmbeddedICE and Embedded Trace interfaces offer real-time debugging with embedded RealMonitor ™ software and high-speed tracking of instruction execution.
• Two 10-bit 10-bit A / D with conversion times as low as 2.44 us per channel.
• A single 10-bit D / A converter provides variable analog output.
• Two 32-bit timers / external event counters.
• Four captures and four comparison channels.
• PWM unit with six output pins.
• Low power real time clock with independent power and dedicated 32 kHz clock input.
• Multiple serial interfaces including two UARTs, two Fast I2C (400 kbit / s), SPI ™ and SSP with buffer and variable data length capabilities.
• Vectorized interrupt controller with configurable priorities and vector addresses.
• Up to 47 5V general tolerance I / O bits.
• Up to nine external interrupt pins sensitive to the edge or level.
• Maximum 60 MHz CPU clock available from the programmable Phase Lock (PLL) circuit on the chip with 100us settling time.
• The integrated chip oscillator operates with an external crystal in the range of 1 MHz to 30 MHz or with an external oscillator from 1 MHz to 50 MHz.
• Power saving modes include Off and Off.
• Individual activation / deactivation of peripheral functions.
• The processor is powered from standby mode via an external alarm or in real time.
• Single Power Supply Chip with Power Reset (POR) and Power Off Detection (BOD)
• Operating voltage range of the CPU from 3.0 V to 3.6 V
