INTELLIGENT AMBULANCE FOR CITY TRAFFIC AND GSM TO SENT THE STATUS OF THE PATIENT TO THE HOSPITAL
ABSTRACT:
The main aim of this project is develop an intelligent ambulance which will reach the hospitals without any problem in heavy traffics and it will alert the status of the patient to the hospital through SMS.
INTRODUCTION:
This particular project is designed for the cities with heavy traffic. Eg: In Bangalore the roads are full jammed every time. Most of the time the traffic will at least for 100meters .In this distance the traffics police canâ„¢t hear the siren form the ambulance .so he ignores this .Then the ambulance has to wait till the traffic is left. Some times to leave the traffic it takes at least 30 minutes .So by this time anything can happen to the patient .So this project avoid these disadvantages. The second feature is the information system in the Ambulance. The system will inform the status of the patient to the hospital as the command giving to the system in the ambulance. According to this project if any ambulance comes near when the ambulance at emergency comes to any traffic post the traffic signals automatically stop the signals and give green signal for this ambulance.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:
When the ambulance at emergency comes to any traffic post the traffic signals automatically stop the signals and give green signal for this ambulance.
The ambulance carries an IR transmitter and IR receiver will be there some few meter before the signal. The receiver will receive the signal and the module will send the command turn on green through the RF and every traffic post will have an RF receiver. So whenever the ambulance comes near the traffic, the ambulance will transmit a code say emergency the receiver will receive this signal .Then it immediately switch off the other signals that is it make all the signals red and later make this particular direction signal green. So by doing this the ambulance can go without any problem.
Whenever the driver wants to sent the information about the status of the patient to the hospital, by a switch press the system will send the information through SMS.

Power supply:
The microcontroller and other devices get power supply from AC to Dc adapter through 7805, 5 volts regulator. The adapter output voltage will be 12V DC non-regulated. The 7805/7812 voltage regulators are used to convert 12 V to 5V/12V DC.

This project designs an intelligent ambulance that will help to reach the patient to the hospital immediately. This project is ideal for the crowded cities where it is difficult for the ambulances through especially in the peak hours of the day. This project designs a system such that if any ambulance comes near or when the ambulance at emergency comes to any traffic post the traffic signals automatically stop the signals and give green signal for this ambulance.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:
IR transmitter r is carried by the ambulance . IR receiver will be kept in the near the signal post. Each traffic signal post in the city should have a RF reciever. When the transmission from the transmitter on the ambulance is received by the receiver, it gibes the command to turn the signal green so that the ambulance can easily pass through the signal. Thus every signal in the path of the ambulance will give green signal when the ambulance goes near it.

BLOCK DIAGRAM:
Ambulance part consists of an AT89C51 microcontroller, an RF transmitter, IR receiver, power supply, and an LCD display.

Traffic post: There is an RF receiver, an RF decoder which is connected to the AT89C51 microcontroller, which controls the traffic light.
