LOK SABHA (Article -81)
*The Hindi name of Lok Sabha was adopted by
*Lok Sabha is constituted under Article 81 of the constitution.the House of the People on 14th May 1954.
*The maximum strength of the Lok Sabha is fixed at 552 (530 elected from states, 20 from union territories, 2 nominated).
*This strength shall be continued up to 2026
*However at present there are 545 members in the Lok Sabha . Out of which 530 are elected from states, 13 from Union Territories and 2 members are nominated by the President from Anglo Indian Community.
*16th Lok Sabha was formed in May 2014.
*Uttar Pradesh has the maximum membership (80) in the Lok sabha.
*Kerala has 20 Lok Sabha Constituencies.
