RAJVA SABHA (Article
*Rajya Sabha is constituted under Article 80 of the constitution.

*Rajya Sabha is a permanent body not subjected to dissolution.
*One-third of members of Rajya Sabha retire every two years.

*Rajya Sabha represents the federal character of the constitution. However the States do not get equal representation in the Rajya Sabha.

*UP has the largest representation in the Rajya Sabha (31 members).
*Kerala has 9 seats in the Rajya Sabha.
*The fourth schedule to the Constitution deals with the allocation of seats in the Rajya Sabha to the states and union territories.
