Go-back-n & Selective repeat "Go-Back-N Protocol" and "Selective Repeat Protocol" are the sliding window protocols. The sliding window protocol is mainly an error control protocol, that is, it is a method of error detection and error correction. The basic difference between the go-back-n protocol and the selective repeat protocol is that the "back-n-back protocol" retransmits all the frames that are found after the damaged or lost frame. The "selective repeat protocol" retransmits only the damaged or lost frame.
