Pudhari is a popular daily Marathi published in Maharashtra, Goa and North Karnataka. He is the leader in the west of Maharashtra and the third largest daily newspaper of Marathi in Maharashtra. Pudhari has different issues for major districts of Maharashtra namely Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Nasik, Solapur, Ahmadnagar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Belgaum and an issue for the state of Goa.
History
Dr. Ganpatrao Govindrao Jadhav is the founding editor of the daily Pudhari. He began his journalistic career in Mumbai by joining the weekly TEJ. He later worked for a daily afternoon and other magazines. I was also editing Kaiwari daily in Mumbai. He participated actively in the social and religious movements defended by Satyashodhak Samaj and those undertaken by Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. While working as a journalist he worked with Keshavrao Jedhe, Dinkarrao Jawalkar, Prabodhankar K.S. Thakre, Mama Varerkar, Achyutrao Kolhatkar, Bhaskarrao Jadhav and other renowned social reformers of the time. The current editor of Pudhari is Pratap Singh Jadhav. Shri. G. G. Jadhav began publishing a weekly newspaper in 1937 in Kolhapur. The first issue of the weekly was released on May 13, 1937 and graduated daily on January 1, 1939 with the name "Pudhari". Since its creation in 1937, the newspaper has consistently and consistently supported and sought programs of national interest.
Mr. Pratapsinh G. Jadhav took over the management of Pudhari from his father in 1971. The newspaper that had begun life as a property concern became a corporate entity. The name was amended to Pudhari Publications Pvt. Ltd. and Shri. P.G. Jadhav assumed the position of Managing Partner and Editor of the firm. He is responsible for the technological modernization of machines and processes that allowed Pudhari to grow rapidly.
Social work
Pudhari, as part of corporate social responsibility, contributed and raised funds immensely through appealing to the general public during the great natural disaster when it occurred. In 1999, when the Indian army fought against the Pakistani forces in Kargil, Pudhari was in charge of generating funds to support the war effort. The funds generated were used to build the hospital for Indian soldiers fighting in the Siachin glaciers. On November 18, 2001, the Siachin hospital was ceremoniously inaugurated. This exemplary contribution demonstrates social commitment and leadership in times of crisis.

Pudhari has 12 editions viz. Pune, Bombay, Nasik, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurga, Goa and Belagaum. It circulates more than 9 daily lac copies and has readers that exceed more than 40 Lacs. It has weekly features like Bahar, Soneri, Vishwasanchar, Ankur, Kasturi, Carrera, Arogya and Bhoomiputra. It has given a platform to empower women through their women's club "Kasturi" and at the same time also runs a children's club called "Ankur". The Pudhari web edition was launched at www.pudhari.com. It has an event division called "Brigade" that successfully carries out reader connection activity throughout the year.
