Hi I am Divya . I like to have more details on garden automation systems as Iam doing my final year project on this and now I am living at Sivakasi and I am doing my BE ECE in Mepco Schlenk Engineering College.

The most important problems they face are the misuse of electricity and its waste. Sometimes due to the negligence of the authorities and the workers' lamps are left on which results in waste of electricity. Waste of water is another problem that needs to be addressed. Our project helps to overcome all these problems.

First, the microcontroller around 4.00pm connects the water supply once to water the entire garden a few hours before opening the garden to the public. The gate is then opened by operating the motor driven by a motor driver driven by the microcontroller. At 6.00 p.m. the lights are on depending on the output of the LDR and the lights remain functional until the garden remains open for visitors.

The garden remains open for about three hours and so around 8.50 PM a buzzer sounds to indicate the garden closing and to alert visitors. The door closes at 9:00 pm and three of the four lamps are turned off. A lamp is maintained throughout the night. In the morning, the remaining lamp is switched off depending on the signal sent by the light dependent resistor to the microcontroller. These are the step involved in running the circuit and public garden automation. The microcontroller is used to monitor the actions of all other devices and to control the entire set of operations.

Appropriate environmental conditions are necessary for optimum plant growth, improved crop yields, and efficient use of water and other resources. The automation of the process of data acquisition of the soil conditions and various climatic parameters that govern the growth of the plants allows to collect information at high frequency with less labor requirements. Existing systems use systems based on PC or SMS to keep the user continuously informed of conditions within the greenhouse; but they are unaffordable, bulky, difficult to maintain and less accepted by technically unskilled workers.

The objective of this project is to design a simple, easy-to-install, microcontroller-based circuit to monitor and record the temperature, humidity, soil moisture and natural ambient light values that are continuously modified and controlled to optimize them to achieve maximum growth and yield of plants. The controller used is a low-cost, cost-efficient chip manufactured by ATMEL that has 8K bytes of flash memory on chip. It communicates with the different sensors modules in real time to control light, aeration and drainage efficiently inside a greenhouse through the performance of a refrigerator, nebulizer, drip and lights, respectively, according to the necessary conditions of the crops. it is also used for real-time visualization of the data acquired from the various sensors and the status of the various devices. In addition, the use of readily available components reduces manufacturing and maintenance costs. The design is quite flexible since the software can be changed at any time. Therefore, it can be adapted to the specific requirements of the user. This makes the proposed system an economical, portable and low maintenance solution for greenhouse applications, especially in rural areas and for small-scale farmers.
