Bulletin board is the main thing in any institution or organization or places of public utility such as bus stops, railway stations or parks. But sending out multiple notices day by day is a tedious process. This article is about an advanced bulletin board. It presents an SMS-based bulletin board incorporating the widely used GSM to facilitate the communication of displaying the message on the bulletin board through the user's mobile phone. Its operation is based on the ATMEGA32 microcontroller programmed in assembly language. A SIM300 GSM modem with a SIM card is interconnected to the microcontroller ports with the help of AT commands. When the user sends an SMS through a registered number from his mobile phone, it is received by the SIM300 GSM modem at the end of the receiver. SIM300 is properly interconnected via an IC level changer MAX32 to the microcontroller. The messenger is thus searched in the microcontroller. It is also shown on an electronic bulletin board that equipped with LCD display with microprocessor interface powered by a regulated 230V AC power supply.
Today the ad goes digital. Large stores and malls now use digital displays. In addition, in the trains and buses information as the platform number, the ticket information is displayed on the digital boards. People are now adapted to the idea of the world in their fingers. The use of mobile phones have increased drastically in recent years. Control and communication have become important in all parts of the world. This gave us the idea of using mobile phones to receive messages and then display it on an electronic board. GSM technology is used. GSM stands for Global System for Mobile Communications. Due to this international GSM roaming capability, we can send the message to the receiver from anywhere in the world. It has the system for SMSShort Message Service. This project is a remote message board with a GSM modem at the end of the receivers. So if the user wants to display any message, he can send the information by SMS and therefore update the LCD screen accordingly. As the engineer's primary goal is to make life simple with the help of technology, this is a step to simplify real-time observation.
