Introduction to the Foundations of Banking - Online Course
Foundations of Banking Course
The Foundations of Banking course has been designed to introduce the students to the practical aspects of banking. The course covers the “need to know” aspects of banking which would be relevant in day to day operations for non-managerial entry level personnel.
What is the objective of the course?
The objective of the course is to help the students learn the Foundations of Banking completely online through self learning without faculty intervention.
What is the Online FOB course about?
The courseware by design would encourage self-learning by students through e-Learning independent of the faculty. The online course can be offered to students through colleges where there are constraints in allocating faculty or infrastructure for facilitating the course. The FOB course topics are offered to the students through e-Learning modules. We have included 40 e-Learning modules mapped to the topics in this online course.
What is the Course Structure?
The course structure is divided into three sections:
Section 1 – Basics of Banking
Section 2 – Banking Operations
Section 3 - Banking Environment

What is the Learning Methodology?
E-learning:
Students will have access to e-Learning modules through the website through specifically created login ID & password. The college administrator would need to send the details of the students to us for creation of their login Ids.
e-Learning modules have been mapped to the course topics. The e-Learning modules have been arranged in a flow and the topics have to be studied in the sequence. The students would be able to go to the next module only after completion of the previous one.
How would the evaluation be conducted?
(a) Learning Confirmation:
Each e-learning module has a learning confirmation test which the student is required to clear to complete the module. The student has to secure 80% to clear the test.
(b) E-test:
The online course also has an e-test at the end of section 1, 2 and 3 and a final e-test covering the entire FOB course. The student can take up e-learning topics in section 2 only after clearing the e-test for section 1 - Basics of Banking and so on.
How is the certificate obtained by the successful student?
The student will get an online certification once he/she clears the final e-test in the online FOB course module. The FOB course certification is issued from ICICI Bank online - If the college requires joint certification, we can include the college logo and name in the certificate and issue a joint certificate.
