After identifying the location for the creation of the retail store, HPCL publishes an advertisement in major newspapers (English and Hindi / vernacular) inviting applications from candidates for the category for which the location is reserved. Eligibility criteria, terms and conditions and procedures are described in the notice (also listed below). The interested candidates, fulfilling the established requirements, are obliged to apply in the application form (given below), according to the details given in the open announcement.
Conditions or requirements for opening a gasoline pumping station
The following are eligibility requirements for individual applicants:
• Must be an Indian citizen and a resident of India as on the date of affidavit.
• The individual applicant's age must be between 21 and 55 (except for Freedom Fighter under CC2).
• The minimum educational qualification required for rural ROs is a 10 + 2 exam conducted by a Board / University and Graduation / Public Accountant / Company Secretary / Cost Accountant / Engineering Diploma for regular ROs. For candidates belonging to category CC1 and CC2, the minimum required education is Class 10 and Class 10 + 2 examined by a Board / University for rural ROs and regular ROs respectively. However, this minimum education standard is not applicable to freedom fighters in the CC2 category.
• The minimum funding requirement is Rs. 12.00.000 and Rs. 25,00,000 respectively for rural ROs and regular ROs. This fund may be in the form of savings accounts, deposits in banks / registered companies / postal systems OR bonds or shares of companies listed in Demat OR mutual funds OR National Savings Certificates, etc. Please note that only 60% of the certified value of Shares, Mutual Funds and Bonds will be taken into consideration for eligibility purposes.
• All applicants must have adequate land in the area mentioned in the advertisement. You may own or lease long term for a minimum period of time as specified in the notice.
