Recruitment and selection of students in the Eastern Cape should ensure the accessibility of nursing education programs to both rural and urban candidates and alleviate a large shortage of nurses in the Province, especially in remote rural areas.
HOW TO APPLY
• The ad is placed in local newspapers (Daily Dispatch and Herald) in the April / May period, as well as on the department's website: www.impumelelo.ecprov.gov.za to invite suitable candidates for all programs Offered at the Lilitha College of Nursing.
• Before submitting the application and paying the application fee, note the minimum admission requirements for all programs of your choice.
NB Registration fees are non-refundable
• In your application form, attach your identity document, necessary school reports and proof of deposit stating that you have deposited the application fee for that specific program.
• The closing date will be indicated in the advertisement for that specific year.
FINANCIAL FACTS
Before enrolling as a student, you must determine whether or not you have sufficient funds to fund your studies. Costs involved in higher education include tuition and tuition, books, travel, accommodation, meals and general living expenses.
ECDoH offers financial assistance to full-time students in the form of an annual scholarship. Scholarships will automatically be assigned to the predetermined percentage of selected candidates based on their enrollment in Lilitha College of Nursing (LCoN). The conditions and terms of the Scholarship Contract apply. Students who have passed all their subjects / modules and advance to the next level of study, will maintain the allocation of scholarships. ECDoH / College reserves the right to revert the Scholarship assignment if:
• Students have not met the minimum requirements according to the specified program;
• Students have not complied with college rules and regulations.
