GSM Controlled Door Latch Opener With Security Autodial

Abstract:

The project is designed on the DTMF decoding. Our modern telephone and even our mobile phone uses DTMF coding for number dialing. These DTMF codes can be decoded and utilised for useful purposes. The circuit utilizes IC8870 for DTMF decoding. Microcontroller 89C51 reads these codes and takes necessary action. Door latch can be opened by entering the correct password; we can also connect security sensors of our choice. In case of any breach of security, the device will dial out the pre-stored number and deliver an emergency message.

INTRODUCTION…
 Now so many alarm system and security systems are emerging in our markets using high-tech techniques.
 But in our design we are implementing security systems using GSM, GSM is one of the latest mobile technology using smart MODEM which can easily interfaced to embedded microcontrollers.

EXPLAINATION…

 The 89C51 is a low power, high performance CMOS 8 bit microcontroller with 4Kbytes.
 This unit consists of a DTMF decoder IC8870.It generates codes which are given to the microcontroller unit.
 The main application of LCD in this project is to display the status of MODEM.
 The power supply of the telephone controlled switch is conventional and based on fixed voltage regulator of 5V .
Working of ring detector
 Ring detector unit consist of a diode bridge, voltage controllers, an opto-coupler, voltage and other components.
 The main function of this unit is to detect the ringing signal and rectifies it ,the rectified signal interrupt controller.
WORKING OF THE VOICE TRIGGERING CIRCUIT…
 This circuit consists of APR 9600 IC.
 It can record upto 8 various tones in 1 minute.
 We are using this IC because it is the only IC which has the capacity to save more number of tones then others.
 The tones are as ‘PLEASE WAIT’ if we enter a correct password and the door is about to open;’PLEASE ENTER THE CORRECT PASSWORD’ is the voice output when we enter a wrong password.
FUNCTION OF THE SECURITY SENSOR AND LATCH MAGNET..
 If someone unknown tries to break the door/latch then immediately an alert is sent onto the mobile that “someone unknown has entered” by the security sensor.
 The latch magnet consist of a double pole and double throw relay which switch the incoming telephone line to the DTMF decoder after the call is detected .

FUNCTION OF THE DTMF IC 8870…

 After the rings on the telephone line for 8 times, an alert is send to enter the password.
 After the password is entered, the frequency of each number is sent to the microcontroller to open the latch.
ALGORITHM OF OUR PROJECT..
 Start.
 Person enters the premises.
 Dial the number of telephone line.
 A call goes to the telephone connected to the microcontroller and latch.
 The ring of the phone rings for 8 times
 Then ring detector detects the signal. This signal is then send to the DTMF decoder.
 DTMF decodes and send the signal to the microcontroller.
 According to this, the person is given a message to enter the password.
 Once the password is entered it checks the password.
 If the password is right then 1 pulse is passed to the voice triggering circuit.
 This will pass a message to the rotor of the door to get open.
 Thus the position in which the nuts will move the door i.e. the door will get opened.
ALGORITHM CONTINUED…
 Once the door gets open completely IR LED will sense it and instruct the rotor to stop.
 The door starts closing in 5 seconds.
 STOP.
ADVANTAGES…
 Simple installation .
 The number can be changed.
 If someone unknown tries to enter breaking the latch then an alert is sent to the mobile.
 Settings on the SIM card - can be easily modified by editing the directory in any mobile telephone.
DISADVANTAGES…
 Very expensive.
 Continuous requirement of power supply .
APPLICATIONS…
 Reserved Bank of India.
 Museums where old dead bodies of animals or humans are kept.
 Farmhouses.
 Huge bungalows where huge amount of money and gold is placed.
 Scientific research center.
CONCLUSION
 After presenting this presentation we conclude that using the mobile phones (GSM) door latch can be operated by entering the correct password.
FUTURE SCOPE…
 In this project in future we can add a multimedia camera to see what is going inside the home by sitting in office or some where.

im gng to do dis project with some modifications. im gng to use messaging system instead of calling... can u plz tell me how will the circuit be and can u plz give some ideas to do that..
