GSM BASED HOME AUTOMATION
INTRODUCTION
Man has always yearned to control everything just by tip of finger.
This project brings him closer towards his goal
Security is of prime importance in day-to-day life.
DRAWBACKS OF EXISTING SYSTEM
In the existing system there are IR modules detects the occupancy of the room.
And the signal is given to the controller which directly controls the relay circuitry.
For this the need is that every room must have switches in that room itself.
OTHER PROBLEMS
More size, number of electronic devices
useless power consumption occurs even when turned off
This is called standby power.
It is known that average 10% of a total household power is consumed during standby power state
OBJECTIVE
save energy, power reduction of consumer electronics
efficient automatic control in networked home environment.
Answer is Global System for Mobile Communication(GSM).
GSM BASED HOME AUTOMATION
Implementing GSM ( Global System for Mobile Communication) based Home Automation and Security System.
Microcontroller AT89S52.
Relays communicate with GSM module
BASIC MICROCONTROLLER CIRCUIT
WORKING OF THE KIT
This project uses a GSM modem with micro controller
Some sensors like the light sensor, LPG gas sensor, IR sensor
Motor, light and fan through relays
Demodulation of RF signals and checking of sensors
Output – checked from database and SMS is sent
