Green buildings

Green or sustainable buildings use key resources like energy, water, materials, and land more efficiently than conventional buildings.
Why shift to green buildings:
1.Address growing costs of distribution
2.Reduce rise an electricity and gas prices.
3.Help cut pollution from fossil fuels.
4.Improve quality of educational environment
5.improved work and living environments

Costs:
The majority of this cost is due to the increased architectural and engineering (A&E) design time, modeling costs.

Financial benefits:
energy and water savings, reduced waste, improved indoor environmental quality, greater employee comfort/productivity, reduced employee health costs and lower operations and maintenance costs.

Energy savings:green buildings use 30% less energy than conventional buildings.
-green buildings have reduced electricity purchases and secondarily from reduced peak energy demand.
Productivity and health
Residents of green buildings have reduced illness symptoms, reduced absenteeism and increases in perceived productivity.
-Generally improved thermal comfort and better ventilation.
-CO2 monitoring to ensure better performance of systems such as ventilation, heating and air conditioning.

In the 21at century, more eco friendly buildings are being constructed around the world. Every conceivable part of these buildings have sustainable technologies incorporated into it. 32% of the world's resources are consumed by the buildings. Also 40% of waste produced in the world is for m the buildings. This seminar focuses on the facet of implementation of energy conservation principles to civil construction.
The sustainable technologies introduced into the buildings include a water-mining plant in the basement, phase-change materials for cooling, automatic night purge windows, wavy concrete ceilings, a façade of louvers (powered by photovoltaic cells) that track the sun, even the pot plant holders have involved a lot of innovation. The principles involved include the use of thermal mass for cooling, use of the plants to filter the light etc.In a way, the sustainable buildings reflect the planet‘s ecology. complex system of interrelated components keeps the building energy efficient.

NEED FOR SUSTAINABLE BUILDINGS
incalculable technological achievements, population growth and related problems were witnessed by the world in the 21st century. Our activities have started backfiring on us in the form of pollution, landfills at
capacity, toxic waste, global warming, resource and ozone depletion, and deforestation etc. The implementation of resource-efficient measures is important for the world.
