Electricity is generated by replacing traditional speed switches with some simple mechanism. As the vehicles pass over the speed switches, the rollers that are connected to a generator turn, which in turn generate electricity. This method is an effective way to produce electricity as the number of vehicles on the road are increasing. Also the cost of manufacturing the model is low. It can be placed effectively near traffic lights, in the entrance of parking lots and in any other place where the density of traffic is high. The rollers are fixed on a wooden ramp in which the vehicle passes. When the vehicle passes over it, it begins to move. There is provided a chain drive mechanism which transfers the motion to a DC motor / generator for the generation of electricity. This method provides an efficient way to generate electricity from the kinetic energy of moving vehicles on highways, highways, car parks, etc. Energy is the primary need for survival of all organisms in the universe. Everything that happens in the environment is the expression of the flow of energy in one of the forms. But in this rapidly moving world, the population is increasing day by day and conventional energy sources are declining. Extensive use of energy has resulted in an energy crisis over the few years. Therefore, to overcome this problem we need to implement the techniques of optimum use of conventional sources for energy conservation. My article includes how to use energy that is wasted when vehicles pass over a speed switch. A lot of energy is generated when the vehicle passes over it. We can take advantage of the generated energy and produce energy using the speed switch as the energy generating unit. The kinetic energy of moving vehicles can be converted into mechanical energy from the shaft through the rack and pinion mechanism. Then, this mechanical energy will be converted to electrical energy using the generator to be saved with the use of a battery. The energy we save during daylight can be used at night to illuminate the street lights.
The load of the vehicle actuated on the system of speed switches is transmitted to the rack and pinion arrangements. Then, the reciprocating movement of the speed switch is converted into rotary motion using the rack and pinion arrangement in which the pinion shaft is coupled with the pinion arrangement. The arrangement of the pinion is formed by two pinions. One of the pinions has a larger dimension than the other pinion. Both pinions are connected to a chain that transmits the power of the larger pinion to the smaller pinion. When power is transmitted from the larger pinion to the smaller pinion, the speed that is available in the larger pinion is multiplied relative to the rotation of the smaller pinion. The smaller pinion shaft is coupled to a gear arrangement. Here we have two gears with different dimensions. The larger diameter sprocket is coupled to the smaller pinion shaft. Therefore, the speed that has been increased in the smaller sprocket is transmitted to this sprocket of larger diameter. The smaller gear engages the larger gear. Therefore, as the larger gear rotates, the speed of the smaller gear that is following the larger gear increases and the speed increases to more intensity. Although the speed due to the rotational movement achieved in the larger gear is smaller, since the power is transmitted to the gears, the final speed reached is high. This speed is sufficient to rotate the rotor of a generator and is fed to the rotor of a generator. The rotor rotating inside a static magnetic stator cuts off the surrounding magnetic flux, thus producing the electric motive force (emf). This generated emf is then sent to an inverter, where the generated emf is regulated. This regulated emf is now shipped to the storage battery where it is stored during the day and can be used at night to provide power to street lights.
