When the fault occurs, the repair process related to that particular cable is very difficult. Cable breakdown occurs mainly due to many reasons. They are: inconsistent, any defect, cable weakness, insulation failure and breakage of the conductor. To overcome this problem, here is a project to know underground cable fault distance locator, used to find fault location for underground cable.

Before attempting to find underground cable failures in the direct primary blind cable, it is essential to know where the cable is located and which direction it is taking. If the fault occurs on the secondary cable, then knowing the exact route is even more critical. Since it is extremely difficult to find a cable fault without knowing where the cable is, it makes sense to master the location and tracking of the cable before starting the troubleshooting process.

The success of fault tracking and the location of an underground cable depends primarily on the skill, knowledge and experience of that person. Although cable tracing may be an intricate job, it is likely to become even more complex as more underground facilities are installed. It is so important to understand how the equipment works.
