ABSTRACT

Now a day's every system is automated in order to face new challenges. In the present daysAutomated systems have less manual operations, flexibility, reliability and accurate. Due tothis demand every field prefers automated control systems. Especially in the field ofelectronics automated systems are giving good performance. Sometimes the term automationmeans with less intervention of human.The main goal of our project is to control the machine. This allows us to realize the taskefficiently and effectively without the intervention of human by making it automated andeven we can avoid unnecessary wastage of power by switching it off at right time.This project is designed around a microcontroller which forms the heart of the project. In ourproject we are going to make use of a device called RTC which stands for Real Time Clock.This provides the details such as day month year date and time according to which themachines are made ON and OFF. The RTC is interfaced with microcontroller tocommunicate and hence to get the information such as time etc. and controls the switching ofdevices. The microcontroller communicates with RTC through a serial synchronous protocolcalled I2C. . In our project we are going to make use of a sensor called LDR which stands forLight Dependent Resistor which senses the intensity of light. And accordingly the lights aremade ON and OFF.
