Workshops, seminars and small business meetings, designed to help the small business owner understand and meet their federal tax responsibilities, are held in various locations around the country. These events are sponsored and presented by IRS partners specializing in federal taxes. Sometimes the IRS participates in these events in person or by virtual technology.
Topics range from an overview of taxes to more specific issues such as accounting and retirement plans. While most are free, some events have fees paid directly to the sponsoring organization, not the IRS.
