Free Space in Mayonic Science:
A Tradition of Free Knowledge

The concept of free knowledge is the age old living tradition of India in time immemorial. The whole civilizations we see today are the outcome of the subtle aspect and wondrous feature of the knowledge texts. These knowledge starts with architecture [vaastu] science, ayurvedic treatment systems and practice and science of music and dance. In all cases of creative expressions the inner consciousness of the maker gets translated into numerical measures and designs.
a musical instrument - Satira Vina The creativity in Indian context is the manifestation of free space into material form according to a mathematical formula. The progenitor of this cosmic observation has been none other than the legendary Mayan [1 ]. In the treasured book authored by him Ainthram [2] Mayan states that the affluent space itself is the store house of energy, and it is the originating source of all the objects of universe. Hence the architecture is the manifestation of yet another mathematical formula. Mamuni Mayan was believed to be lived in the Cumarin Continent historically once existed in the south of Kanyakumari, Jambuvadweep [2] and later he moved and lived in south of Kerala in Mahendragiri in erstwhile Kanyakumari
Many observations of Mayan later form the basis of the cultural evolution of the world that crossed the oceans in the past. Much lulled Maayan and the other land marked Central American civilizations have a close resemblance to many of the concepts we practice today as a lineation to the philosophy of Mayan [3]. The following is a summary of some of the principles put forth by Mayan in the Aintiram, the Tamil text of Indian Architectural philosophy [2].
1. All objects of nature are unified entities (forms) of energy and matter.
2. The free space is the unified field of energy and matter and source of all forms that we see in material world.
3. There are two OMs: OM Light and OM Sound, the former is the source of all visible objects and the latter, the source of all aural forms.
4. All material forms of the universe are musical forms or have taken shape on musical rhythm or musical scale.
5. Time creates, sustains, and destroys all, so created.
6. The primal manifest form of the unmanifest is square (primal wave pattern).
7. The primal square pattern is designated as the diagram of embodied Energy - Vaastu Purusha mandala.
8. The free space is packed with cubical atoms of energy. They are building blocks of the structure of the universe.
9. The cube is micro-abode called Sittravai/ Chittrambalam (mini hall in Tamil).
10. Within the hall there is a vertical luminous shaft called Brahma Sutra (Oli nool).
11. This Olinool/Brahma Sutra is a shaft of consciousness also called Moolathoon/ Moolasthambham.
12. This shaft of consciousness vibrates in a particular order called rhythm. This is the order of nature.
13. This rhythmic vibration of the shaft of consciousness is the dance of Shiva, the Space.
14. The micro space, in the cubical shape is foetus, Garbha or Bindu. This is known as Vinkaru in Tamil.
15. This micro abode is the repository of light and sound.
16. The free space is Light and the Light is Moolam or source of the universe and universal forms. Light is Brahman, Atman, Vastu Brahman - Nunporul in Tamil.
17. The embodied energy is Vaastu Brahman/Vaastu Purushan. The space enclosed in a building is Prasada Purushan – energized building - building is a living organism, built of musical units of measure.
18. Architecture is the supreme achievement of mathematics.
19. Mathematics is rooted in the dynamism of Absolute Time.
20. Time is the vibration of Space.
21. Time and Space are equal.
22. Time is one of the subtle elements of Space (akasa).
23. Time is the causal element of all objects of the Universe.
24. The microcosmic structure is in total identity with macrocosmic structure.
25. The supreme space is throbbing every moment to express itself out.
26. Through the power of inner consciousness, the knower of Vastu should know about light aspects and sound aspects of OM pertaining to both inner and outer space.
27. Those who do not realize the creative dynamism of inner space cannot know the dynamism of outer space.
In the heart of the cave of the body there is an inner space and in that inner - space there is the vibrant thread of consciousness. It is this thread of consciousness that functions as the string of the sarira- vina (bodily instrument - see the sculpture drawing in Figure 1b), the living forms - human beings. The cultural civilizations we today see in India, particularly in south India is the living tradition of these principles decided as per mathematical models [4]. In architecture the silpy confines the subtle energy of the space into embodied energy. The very crown - the Dharmachakra on the Lion Capital envisaged by silpies of Saranath in 3rd BC under the patronage of Emperor Asoka (272-232 BC) symbolizes the turning of the wheel of law by Lord Buddha. Here, too the concept of Dharma is perceived as a pulsating wheel adorned by four lions looking in the four directions. The lions represent pervading influence of the 'Sakhyasimha - Buddha his religion and order. This noblest creation of the Maurian forms the crest of our nation. It always pulsates the Dharma for the well being and prosperity of the mankind. Asoka Sthambhom - The Lion Capital of India had been created in Saranath by silpies as per the concept of Mayan. This embodied energy in built space can bring all material and spiritual prosperity in human living. A silpy the creator of the space shares the spiritual and aesthetical experience with the society, through their technological expertise and hard labor. The one and only aim of the artist is to bring the spiritual well being, the physical welfare, material prosperity, peace and bliss to the doors of the fellowmen. Thereby he earns the very means for the existence of himself and as an age old knowledge tradition and inheritance; he thereby preserves and maintains the unique knowledge and technology assimilated through practice. This is a very difficult edge of the practitioner to stand for a great philosophy of practicing the knowledge against the odds and set backs. The guardians of this treasure knowledge are not always the rich or the heads of the land instead they are all workers with limited ambitions and hope. To them the skilled knowledge and practices are most important and valuable assets above any other material benefits. The survival of any civilized society is only possible once the knowledge is free and shared. It.has to be promoted and sustained to the welfare of the generations to come. If any narrow interest was levied by Raja or Kings of the past upon the philosophy of Mayan and Ainthram - the sacred text of space science the entire world we see today would not had been with this much cultural charm and potential for highest thinking. Instead they all promoted the diffusion of the knowledge and the ordinary men holistically shared and preserved the skills for the benefit of all. In India the knowledge sharing has been the ultimate basis of all civilizations. Nobody had been referred to seen over being tortured or killed because of his scholarly capability and pursuing knowledge. In this land a traditional farmer or cobbler is a scientist dedicated to pursue his knowledge boundaries to render the service as a duty
blended with the universal concept of dharma. In this background how an ordinary citizen can be alienated from free knowledge on the name of license and levy? Knowledge always exists where the mind is free as we feel the subtle free space with pulsating stillness.
