This Software Requirements Specification specifies the requirements of the E-Learning tool whereby people can generate multimedia presentations that combine video, HTML, images and slides and publish it as a web page that can view all the most popular web browsers. E-Learning tool should allow users to develop a rich multimedia presentation that combines presentation slides, video and images. This software can be used to develop e-learning courses that can then be published on the Internet or delivered in some other electronic medium.
In the last decade, parallel to the constant development of information technologies and the globalization of the world, the phenomena of distributed software development and virtual teams have intensified. As a result, development practices were increasingly dispersed over geographic distances. Although distributed software development is a challenging, complex and risky process, today's competitive business environment requires multiple locations and even multinational and multicultural development configurations for many software development projects [Herbsleb and Moitra, 2001]. However, distributed software development is a fairly new phenomenon that is still evolving and needs more research and work to understand and address these challenges and complexities. Similarly, virtual teams represent a new form of organization that offers flexibility and responsiveness and has the potential to revolutionize the workplace [Powell et al., 2004]. While traditional software development offers a valuable theoretical background and a starting point, virtual teams with their unique material, technical and social challenges require additional and specialized research to improve their effectiveness [Powell et al., 2004].
