SUMMARY
Bio-battery energy storage device, which is powered by organic compounds is usually glucose, such as glucose in the blood. When the enzymes in our body to break down glucose, a few electrons and protons are released. Thus, using enzymes to break down glucose, bio-battery directly get energy from glucose. These batteries then save that energy for later use. The concept is almost identical, like plants, and many animals derive energy. Despite the fact that the batteries are still being tested, before commercially sold, several research teams and engineers work to further advance the development of these batteries.

Plants produce both carbohydrates and oxygen through photosynthesis from carbon dioxide and water. Animals occupy the carbohydrates and oxygen, and use them as a source of energy, and produce carbon dioxide and water. Then the cycle begins again. Because carbon dioxide, recycle in this system, the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere does not increase. If the electrical energy can be directly obtained from this cycle, we could get more clean energy than fossil fuel. Furthermore, renewable energy sources such as glucose (which is present in plants and, consequently, are available in abundance) have an extremely high energy density. So, this bio battery based on the energy activity, the ATP and thermal energy, typically used in vivo, can be obtained by the reaction of exchange of electrons and protons, with these two enzymatic reactions.

As usual the battery fuel cells, bio battery consists mainly of the anode, cathode, and electrolyte and separator. However, Bio Battery has some specific characteristics. First, biological enzymes used as catalysts for the anode and cathode. Secondly, enzymes and electronic intermediaries (that pass electrons between proteins and enzymes and electrodes) are fixed on the anode and the cathode.
ADVANTAGES
A significant advantage of bio-batteries are compared to other batteries is their ability to instantly recharge.In other words, through the constant supply of sugar, or glucose, bio-batteries are able to constantly keep themselves in charge without an external source of power. Bio batteries are also a source of non-flammable and non-toxic fuel. This provides a clean alternative source of renewable energy.
DISADVANTAGES
Compared to conventional batteries such as lithium batteries, bio-batteries are less likely to keep most of its energy. This causes problems when it comes to long-term use and store energy for these batteries. However, researchers continue to develop batteries to make it more practical to replace existing batteries and power sources.
