FOREST FIRE DETECTOR AND ALERTER SYSTEM
Introduction:
Forests are very important for mankind. They play vital role in maintaining economical balance. Directly or indirectly humans are destroying forests. The forest fire is a major cause for destruction of forests. It is the duty of human to conserve the forest, save it from forest fire.
This project implements an automated system which detects the forest fire and alerts to the base station. The module placed in forest will detect the fire through sensors and sends an alerting message to a base station.
Functional Description:
The transmitters are placed all over the forest, which consists of a microcontroller to which temperature sensor and smoke sensor are connected. These sensors will detect the fire and the microcontroller will send an alert message to base station through RF transmitter.
At base station there will be a RF receiver connected to a microcontroller. The alert message received will be displayed on LCD screen and buzzer is turned on. The concerned authority can take immediate action to put OFF the fire.
Advantages:
• Can take immediate action when fire is detected.
• This will reduce the need of forest guards watching day and night.
Hardware Required:
• Microcontroller 89c51.
• Sensors:
1. Temperature sensor.
2. Smoke sensor.
• RF transmitter.
• RF Receiver.
• 16*2 LCD.
• Buzzer.
Software required:
Keil compiler
