* Electricity generation for 6-10 hours per day
Electricity generation by solar cells

Solar cells are made of semiconductors
When light strikes the cell, it is absorbed by the semiconductor material
Energy knocks electrons loose and allows them to flow freely
Electric field in PV cells act to force free electrons in a certain direction(ie, current)
This current is drawn by placing metal contacts on top and bottom of PV cell
This current together with cells voltage is the power of a solar cell
