Introduction
Worldwide, there is a vast number of industrial solid/ solid and solid/liquid separation processes. Many of these require a corresponding variety of highly specific, mechanically and chemically resistant, highperformance filter media. The advent of synthetic monofilament fibers offered the possibility to create a large range of tailormade filter elements from woven synthetic fabrics.
