I am Ongezwa a civil engineering student studying my b-tech, I am currently busy with my project management, where one must choose a topic to work on.
I need help with the topic of my choice which is "Fibre reinforced concrete on roads"
I know that>Fibres are usually used in concrete to control cracking due to both plastic shrinkage and drying shrinkage,
They also reduce the permeability of concrete and that reduce bleeding of water.
I would like to know> what types of fibres are preferable/good to be used in concrete that will be used for pavement purposes or for road construction?
will it be good for fibre reinforced concrete to be used in ultra thin layer?
if I want to do my research on both ultra thin layer and fibre reinforced concrete how can I blend these two topics to be become one.
Current stage> I'm busy with a project management as a subjects and I will be working on the topic about Fibre reinforced concrete on road construction (Ultra thin layer)
Expectations> to find out more about the fibres in concrete and the ones that will be suitable for concrete that will be used for road construction purposes.
