All ideas, experience and help of any positive form here please... i'm looking to write a face recognition software for my final year project...

The program is to check for faces that appear through a camera or video stream and cross-reference all faces with the data in the database and then signify the faces that have records in the database....

even ideas on face recognition without using artificial neural network are always welcomed....
