A refrigerant is a fluid that flows through a device to prevent its overheating, transferring the heat produced by the device to other devices that use or dissipate it. An ideal refrigerant has high thermal capacity, low viscosity, is low cost, and is chemically inert, not causing or promoting corrosion of the refrigeration system. Some applications also require the refrigerant to be an electrical insulation.
While the term refrigerant is commonly used in automotive, residential and commercial temperature control applications, in industrial processing, heat transfer fluid is a more widely used technical term for both high temperature and low temperature applications. The refrigerant can maintain its phase or remain liquid or gaseous, or it can undergo a phase change, with the latent heat that adds to the cooling efficiency.
The temperature sensor is used to measure the temperature level during the machining process. The signal is then passed to the amplification unit where the amplification of the signal is carried out without changing its properties. The signal is converted to digital signal using the AD converter. This signal is processed in the microcontroller and this operates the relay so the coolant pump is run. This supplies the refrigerant on the machining element so does the temperature.
It can be understood in the following video:
