Engineering Metrology is a book that describes the role played by automated machinery and precision instruments, which are used for precision measurements. The book gives an account of the use of computers in the field of metrology. Particular emphasis has been placed on the practical aspects of the topic in this book. The topics of TQM, ISO and Quality Control and Guarantee have also been explained. This book has been edited to be compatible with the prescribed course for engineering students. In Engineering Metrology, different measurement methods such as linear measurement, measurement of interference of light waves and angular measurement have been mentioned. Various measurement techniques using indicators such as comparators, calibration, marking indicators and ISO metric threads have also been explained in the book.
