Abstract:
This project aims at the harvesting electrical energy from the piezoelectric crystals by the exertion of pressure on them . It is a process of converting the mechanical energy (i.e. vibration) into electrical energy (i.e. voltage) and then using this energy to store in capacitor and use by proper signal conditioning circuit. Piezoelectric materials have the unique ability to interchange electrical and mechanical energy. This property allows them to be used to absorb the mechanical energy around a system, usually ambient vibration, and transform it into electrical energy that can be used to power other devices. In order to store this energy two methods can be used, viz. charging and discharging of the capacitor and second is storing the energy into a battery and then using the same for required domestic purpose. By using this property of piezoelectric crystal mainly ceramic or quartz crystal we are going to harvest energy. The main moto behind this is to overcome the energy crisis which we are facing now a days and by a non polluting way. Many researchers are finding the ways for this we to are trying to do the same but in a convenient way so that each and every one is trying to afford it and make a maximum way so that the conventional sources such as the coal , crude oil, etc. which are extinguishing now a days are needed to be protected.
