abstract:
In wireless ad-hoc networks, wireless mobile hosts communicate with each other, in the absence of a fixed infrastructure. In these days, as the energy issue becomes more important. Here it is known that data transmissions are one of the main factors of the power consumption of mobile hosts. Therefore, energy efficient data access is one of the most important research issues for data sharing applications in Ad-hoc networks.
In the paper, improve LAR (Location-Aided Routing) which is one of the most famous location based routing methods. This kind of technique uses information about the location of mobile node through GPS technique to improve performance of routing protocols for ad hoc networks. This new protocol considers both areas of routing and energy.
At first, propose a more efficient routing method, which minimizes the spread of unnecessary control messages. Secondly, an energy aware method is proposed to select proper transmission power by the distance between nodes. Finally, make a new function to select next hop, which considers of both distance and energy.
