ABSTRACT
Our paper is aimed to minimize the accidents occurs due to the failure of brakes. this system consist of a DC dynamo, which act as DC motor & coupled with a compressor.
“BRAKE FAILURE NEVER BREAKDOWNS THE VEHICLE”
• AIR ASSISED HYDRAULIC BRAKES
INTRODUCTION:
This system of brake is mainly used in Tata vehicles. Compressed air is used to boost up the braking. Only 50% of pressure pedal is enough to obtain the desired effort. So,the efficiency of the brake is better when compared to simple hydraulic system. This compressed air is used along with hydraulic oil for breaking.

AIR
• MAIN PARTS:
1.COMPRESSOR,
2.AIR GOVERNOR,
3.BOOSTER AIR RESERVOIR
WORKING:
• Air compressor receives drive from the engine. First fresh air is admitted to the cylinder and then it is compressed. Then the compressed air is send to the reservoir.
• Governor is connected to control the air in the reservoir. when the pressure in the reservoir attains 5.3 kg this governor will not allow the air to go to the tank because high pressure may causes the bursting of tank. An air bottle is connected with the governor.
• The main parts of the booster are air control unit, other piston & cylinder. when the pedal releases, a rod will press the lever. At that time the valve is opened and air is entered at some pressure then the piston is moved by the pressure as on the figure
• So the push rod is moved in the master cylinder quickly there by ensuring effective braking.
• The piston rod is used in this braking system is hollow with two holes for controlling the compressed air.
• The push rod still hold the brakes but more pressure is required when any failure occurs in producing compressed air.
EMERGENCY RELIEF SYSTEM FOR BRAKE FAILURE:
• The system also having same principle like as emergency relief for power steering system.
• Here the compressor is replace the vane pump and other steps are same.

APPLICATION
• It is applied for all type of light move vehicle and heavy vehicle thus having power steering like cars, buses, trucks etc.
• Emergency relief system for brake failure is applicable for all type of light vehicle and heavy vehicle like cars, buses, trucks etc.
ADVANTAGE
• To avoid accident due to sudden failure of engine, vane pump, any leakage in passage, break of belt, compressor and pressure losses in steering setup.
• To provide more additional pressure to the setup
• No steering and brake failure
• To drive the vehicle safely
• It work automatically
• Time taken for operating the system is less
• Less expensive to setup the system
CONCLUSION
By making this paper as a project we can avoid accidents due to the failure of brake system, the required energy is available to work the brake set up so that the pressure energy is supplied to the brake. We hope that this project is useful for automobile industies. It can be installed in all vehicles at low cost.
