ABSTRACT
Our paper is aimed to minimize the accidents occurs due to the failure of brakes and steering.
This system consists of DC dynamo, which acts as a DC motor & coupled with a vane pump or a compressor.
Mainly it overcomes the ceasing problem of the engine.
“BRAKE FAILURE NEVER BREAKDOWNS THE VEHICLE”
POWER STEERING
EMERGENCY RELIEF SYSTEM
This is alternate circuit for power steering
It consists of DC motor, battery ,relay switch, pressure switch.
This circuit is used whenever there is an pressure loss in the vane pump or compressor.
It also reduces the accidents while traveling, and engine ceases
This system is also used in whenever the steering circuit is in standstill position.
EMERGENCY RELIEF SYSTEM IN POWER STEERING
WORKING OF STEERING IN RELIEF SYSTEM
When the engine is in running condition, the fluid from the vane pump is supplied to the power steering with pressure.
Whenever the engine gets ceases the vane pump get shut down and stop supplying fluid to the power steering.
The pressure in the vane pump gets reduced, this switch on the pressure switch, which gives electric signal to the relay switch.
As a result the relay switch gets switched on, which switches the DC motor.
WORKING OF STEERING IN RELIEF SYSTEM
The vane pump (emergency circuit) coupled with the DC motor runs and supplies the fluid to the power steering with rated pressure through the check valve.
Thus the power steering automatically works and continues its operation in an actual manner. The above things happened with in a few seconds.
These are occurs automatically
The same circuit is the replica of the brake failure system except the only difference is the vane pump
EXISTING AIR ASSISTED HYDRAULLIC BRAKE
TROUBLES IN THIS METHOD OF BRAKING
Leak in front or rear hydraulic system
Cylinder defective
Air line blocked
Oil soaked or poor lining
Fault in compressor or brake valve
Drop of pressure
RELIEF SYSTEM BRAKE
The system also having the same working principle like as emergency relief for power steering system.
Here the compressor is replaced the vane pump and other setup are same.
MAIN CAUSE TO IMPLEMENT THIS PAPER
If any problems in engine such as likes dry of fuel, ceasing of engine, fault in compressor, valves. It produce pressure drop and give poor performance to the steering and brake system.
If these problems occurs during traveling of vehicle causes accidents due to improper working or low effectiveness of power steering and brake system
More accidents are happened due to this problems. So as to avoid these problems we introduce the addition setup called emergency relief system in power steering and brake failure.
So it gives safety to us during driving the vehicle
ADVANTAGES
to provide more additional pressure to the setup.
No steering and brake failure.
To drive the vehicle safely.
It works automatically.
Time taken for operating the system is less.
Less expensive to setup this system.
CONCLUSION
By making this paper as a project we can avoid accidents due to failure of power steering and brake system, the required energy is available to working of power steering and brake setup.
So that the pressure energy is supplied continuously to the brake and steering setup. We hope that this project is very useful to automobile industries.
It can be installed in all the vehicles at low cost.
