The world is full of integrated systems. The development of the Microcontroller has paved the way for several Embedded System applications and they play an important role (and will continue to play in the future as well) in our modern life in one way or another. From consumer electronic systems such as digital cameras, DVD players to advanced and advanced systems such as flight controllers and missile guidance systems, integrated systems are ubiquitous and have become an important part of our lives.

The way we live our lives has been significantly improved with the use of Embedded Systems and they will continue to be an integral part of our lives, even tomorrow. Another important concept we are hearing these days is Real - Time Systems. In a real-time system, Real-Time Computing is carried out, where a computer (an Integrated System) must generate a response to events within certain time limits.

Before going into the details of Embedded Systems' real-time applications, we will first see what an embedded system is, what a real-time system is and what an operating system is in real time.
