OBJECTIVES:
1. To understand some of the capabilities of Electronics Workbench Software
2. To use this software to analyze digital circuits
EQUIPMENT:
PC with Electronics Workbench version 5 installed (you can use a different version, but the images will not look the same)
INTRODUCTION:
Electronics Workbench is a software package that will allow us to build a model of a circuit and analyze it as though it were physically built at a lab station. The software package has all of the circuit components we have available to us, as well as instruments to supply inputs and outputs to our circuits. All of the physical circuit rules that we have studied still apply - the circuit still needs power and ground,, we can use an ammeter or voltmeter to check outputs, etc.
Electronics Workbench is a Windows program, and is available on campus in the EET labs on the CNC network. To start the program on a campus machine, choose the Electronics Workbench icon on the desktop.
