1 Abstract
Electronic door locking is the primary requirement in home automation system. Over the years
many technologies have emerged like password based ,ngerprint based and Internet(zigbee)
based systems for door locking. These technologies have certain limitations where in the user
cannot get the status of the system. In this project titled ELECTRONIC DOOR LOCKING
SYSTEM VIA SMS aims at controlling the door from a remote location by sending a SMS
and also provides the intimation to the user regarding the status of the system. The basic aim
remains to receive and recognize the SMS sent from a remote location and actuate the respective
device.
1.1 Objective of the Project
 To design a system which opens and closes the door from remote place on receiving a SMS.
 To intimate the user regarding the status of the door.
