It was in Wales on February 21st 1804, the worldâ„¢s very first the steam engine was introduced by Richard Trevithick. The speed of the first steam locomotive was just 8 km/h (5 mph). Inventions followed and by the year 1815, George Stephenson developed the first workable steam locomotive. In 1825, exactly after 21 years of the one of the worldâ„¢s most powerful and revolutionary inventions in transportation, the worldâ„¢s first passenger train was born. Developed by George Stephenson, the locomotive ran at a speed of 25 km/h (16 mph).
It is hard to define the term high speed trains in this technologically sophisticated world, as we have today locomotives, that can actually be magnetically lifted off the tracks or can leap through the track at a speed of 500 km/h (311 mph). . But for the purpose of it, we call the trains, which run at or above the speed f 150 km/h as the high speed trains.

High speed trains are one of the most important concepts introduced..It could be implemented anywhere, where rail transport exists..I would like to know more on the topic.I would be happy if i could get pictures and presentations based on the topic..
